The Philadelphia School of Korean Karate is the oldest continuously teaching martial arts school in the Delaware Valley. The school teaches both adult and children’s classes. There are no restrictions on how many classes a student may attend in their belt level.

The school uses the standard belt rankings of white, yellow, green, purple, brown and black. Tests are given at regular intervals and are full belt tests. While students are encouraged to test as soon as they are ready, no compromise is made on quality. A student must possess the technical skill, power, and spirit appropriate to that rank before a belt is awarded. Belt ranks in the school are hard-won prizes. Because of its strict standards, the school has promoted only 161 black belts in its 45 years of existence.
